Up for sale is a rare and very hard to find Orange OD120 amplifier. This amp is all tube and is all hand wired.
This amp is a nearly exact replica of the original ’70s amps.
Manufactured in 1996 via the Matamp Factory in the UK. 120-watt master
volume model. Controls (left to right): F.A.C. knob (essentially a
low-end filter), Bass, Treble, Presence, Gain, Master. High and Low
inputs, an ‘Echo Loop’ (can also be used as an effects loop, or so I’ve
read), and two speaker outs. Switchable ohm output (4, 8, 16), and a
slave output.This amp has been completely gone through by a expert amp
technician and is in perfect working order. The only mod that has been
done is a standby switch has been added (a very common mod for
these),otherwise it is completely original and vintage.

!No International shipping! This amp needs a 220k treble pot. That’s it! The amp worked before I took it out. If you don’t know how to put one in, I left a small easy to read diagram of how to solder the three color coded wires back on to a new pot. The small red/brown capacitor is still with the amp to solder back on with a new pot. I saw some listed on eBay cheap. I’m selling all my amps ..in case you haven’t been following my auctions these past two weeks. This amp does not have the case/housing. It’s just the guts. But with that treble pot it plays. I didn’t like the scratchiness of the pot so I took it out. But I’m leaving the country early March and have not much time left. Hence, no reserve or fixed price.It will be a very nice amp for someone with a minimal fix.Enjoy! .

I’m not up to speed with all the mod/cap/transistor terminology but I will do my best…  I took this amp to my tech to get a tube upgrade, he said “let me have this thing for a day, give me $250 and you won’t be sorry”, he was right…  He’s known for having the killer NOS tubes, best around, he hooked me up with some killer tubes, put new colored leds in above the power and standby switches, he went through the eq on the clean channel and tamed all the “ice-pick” frequencies, also he made a custom board for the power supply section which are usually weak/faulty on these amps (even the infinium versions), I could go on, this amp has been gigged for about 7 weekends in a row after he did these upgrades/mods and I couldn’t be happier with the durability and tone, MESA TONE, BIG TIME !!!!!  …  I’m in a cover band right now and am taking the Axe Fx route for more bells and whistles so I’m selling this to help pay for my new rig…  The footswitch cable is epoxy’d (JB WELD) to the head, I did that by choice so the pin end of the cable was safe, if this bothers you than please move on…  All in all, I’ve gotten better high gain tone(s) out of this head than my Laney GH50L, ENGL Screamer 50, 6505+, Marshall DSL, Peavey Classic 50, Peavey Ultra Plus, NO JOKE!!!!  Serious Bidders Only…  Any questions, feel free to ask…
